Talk radio America's town square
Monday, July 02, 2007 3:27 PM
The story may have passed due to the recent passage of the bill that killed the Leftist attempt to silence 'talk radio'......aka...the average American. If you look at this phenomenon of talk radio, it is much akin to what American's had in the 1700's. When a person would perch themself upon a high point in the town square and being talking about his belief's and/or observations. Americans then, as now, had a choice, stop and listen, or carry on with their life and ignore the person. Most often, the person would gather an audience of a few people, or none at all, say what he had to say, then go about their own business of life no matter how passionate, sincere, or insincere, that person was. But every now and then, an orator would capture an audience, and bring back an audience each time they spoke. It was not because that they were that good at talking, it was the message. It was what the people agreed with and wanted to hear, and often believed in themeslves. Same goes for talk radio. Radio talk show host come and go, often due to ratings, just like all radio programs, be it the station plays country, soul, rock n' roll. If the audience is there and likes what they hear, they will continue to patronize that station. Otherwise, ratings fall, and a new line up is brought in, and often new DJ's as well. Air America failed because not due to a Right Wing conspiracy that forces people to listen to anyone other than who AA aired. It failed due to the message and the messengers and no amount of laws encumbered and forced upon the people can change that. Hugo Chavez is trying now just what the Left here wants to do. But free people have found alternative routes to get their message out to those who want to hear what they believe in. If the Democratic Party, Democratic National Committee, Democrat(ic) politicians and leftist in this Country forced upon this Nation, a law to alter talk radio, it will be akin to forbidding a person the right to free speech in a town square. This Nation will cease to exist, as it would have ceased to be born without the right of free speech and the right for the masses to gather and listen to whom they want to.

Pitbull dogs attack....again
Friday, June 29, 2007 10:53 PM
On May 2nd, I put in my blog an observation and proposal that this one breed of animal must be destroyed entirely. This breed is way too unpredicatable, unstable, and almost always, overly aggressive. Here's another story that makes my claims fact:

By Daveen Rae KurutzTRIBUNE-REVIEWThursday, June 28, 2007
Melissa Friend was never afraid to walk in the yard of her Wilkinsburg home.
Then three pit bulls attacked Friend and her 4 1/2-year-old miniature poodle, Davis.
"I was screaming, but they kept pushing their way in my house," said Friend, 35, of the Tuesday night attack. "I was so scared. They just kept trying to get my dog."
The encounter left animal control Officer David Keller and Wilkinsburg police Sgt. Matthew Morrison with wounds from fragments of the bullets that killed the dogs. Friend was hurt saving her pet.
Chief Ophelia Coleman said Wednesday the pit bulls' owners will be cited for not keeping the animals under control.
Friend said that when the pit bulls charged her, she picked up Davis and ran toward her porch. She opened her screen door, but two of the pit bulls forced their way inside.
She remembers getting bit on her calf. She grabbed a snow shovel on the porch to force the dogs away from her wounded pet.
Neighbors called 911, and police and an animal control officer responded.
"The dogs surrounded one of our guys after they attacked a lady and her dog," said Paul McIntyre, chief at Triangle Pets in McKees Rocks, which provides animal control services for Wilkinsburg. "Those officers didn't have a choice but to shoot them."
McIntyre said Keller was treated and released from Mercy Hospital, Uptown, for a wound of the right knee. Coleman said Morrison's wound was superficial.
"If they hadn't shot (the pit bulls), we'd have had to buy a new dog catcher," said neighbor Lou Mobley, 67. "That man would have been a goner or half-eaten up."
The dogs have been a nuisance around the neighborhood, residents said.
"You can hear them at all hours of the night," Mobley said. "They bark all the time, and they get loose. Their owners accused us of letting them loose from their pen and their chains, but why in the devil would you think someone would do that? I don't want to be dinner."
Friend said she was treated at a local hospital for 12 puncture wounds, including some on her face and leg.
Friend and her family took Davis to an emergency veterinarian. There, the poodle, which was bitten on its front paw, had surgery to drain the wound.
"Davis didn't deserve this. He's the friendliest little dog you could meet," Friend said.
McIntyre declined to identify the pit bull owners.
"It's really a shame," Friend said. "They could have hurt a small child."

Fire and Flood
Wednesday, June 27, 2007 10:01 PM
We watch the news this week and see fire in California and flooding in Texas. Ya know, I get this email every week from a group called Smart Growth : http://www.smartgrowth.org/default.asp you can check it out at your leisure. Now Smart Growth is all about being more environmentally conscience in our developement of our cities, towns, homes, etc. It's the year 2007, in case anyone forgot, and yet to this day, with all the money this Nation has, all the 'university/college' educated people that get 'churned' out every year, for all the Apples and MicroSoft computers that proliferate faster than rabbits in our homes, and for all the 'promises' we get from our politicians year after year (that's a bipartisan statement), for all those things.....no one has come up with any idea to capture the flood waters, divert and save that water, and irrigate the dry areas of this Nation. What a bunch of morons we are. So here's your challenge, find the solution, make the fix, become famous for eternity, or be modest and be happy that you helped your Nation and it's people.

Imperial Romanesque U.S. Senate
Tuesday, June 26, 2007 10:00 PM
When the 'elected' people's representatives so flagrantly go way beyond what the majority of their constituents say/feel/believe, they no longer are representatives but self loathing power mongers. I was going to do a comparison of the Roman Senate to the U.S. Senate, but it truth, it would be beating a dead horse, and unlike the Administration...ah-hem...I will not. Nor will I plagiarize others work, but post a link to a great discussion on a forum I found while doing a bit of comparative research: http://www.perspectives.com/forums/view_topic.php?id=146661&forum_id=5&jump_to=3080734 I fear more every day for this Country and it's people. The present U.S. Government is becoming more and more out of touch with the people and the ideals and laws begotten to this Nation by the blood and lives of those brave people back in the mid 1700's who gave us this Country. Now, those who 'sacred' duty it is to preserve it, are destroying it with each and every act that goes against 'the people'. We, the People, see daily the actions of the Government, we know we are unable to trust most of them, we now watch what those who we 'listen' to, are really going to do. The time for the life of this Nation is at hand, it is happening in our time, how each and every one of us treat this time, will decide the future for generations. "Elections have consequences", says Rush. Inaction has even more dire consequences.

Mayor Bans Bottled Water for City Offices
AP
Posted: 2007-06-23 22:49:09
SAN FRANCISCO (June 23) - Is city water better than bottled water? Mayor Gavin Newsom thinks so. Newsom has issued an executive order banning city departments from buying bottled water, even for water coolers. The ban goes into effect July 1, and will extend to water coolers by Dec. 1. The move was billed as a way to help stem global warming and save taxpayer money. We're hoping to set the example for the private sector and other cities in getting off the bottle," said Tony Winnicker, spokesman for the San Francisco public utilities commission. In a press release announcing the decision, the mayor cited the environmental impact of making, transporting and disposing of the bottles. More than a billion of them end up in the state's landfills each year, the release said. When the ban goes into effect, city and county offices will dispense municipal tap water from a reservoir. Winnicker said exceptions will be made in cases where potable water is not easily available or poses health concerns. You can bet...that no one in the hiearchy of San Fran's government will not have a stash of bottled water somewhere. Way to go Mayor Newsom, you've just given the terrorist the perfect target. What a fascist SOB!! This is more than just banning tap water, this is a test of the leftist liberalistas to see how far the average American can be squeezed, so if in, God forbid, Hillary or any extremist leftist candidate get's the White House, that the Democrats can begin their Chavezesque moves on America. First target will be talk radio as we see today, Sen. Boxer (also from California....fascism must be in the water out there) wants to re-introduce the 'Fairness Doctrine"....explore the Soviet Union history, and Hitler's Nazi regime, one will find volumns of 'doctrines' used to control the people. The divide in America has become wider tonight. The Left is out to exterminate any sort of individual freedom, any sort of entreperneur capitalism, any sort of vestige of our Fore Father's America.

Have courage our ForeFathers had..just do it
Sunday, June 24, 2007 6:15 PM
All it takes is a few lines in a sentence and you know the how the story ends. All I did was pop open the website and read the 'breaking news' story...
President Bush today offered the promise of a future permanent ban on illegal aliens in the United States – if the U.S. Senate moves forward with a compromise "comprehensive" immigration reform package that was killed earlier.
"Right now, our laws are ineffective and insufficient. For example, crossing the border illegally carries weak penalties. In addition, participation in illegal gangs is not enough to bar admission into our country," he said on his weekly radio address.
"And when we cannot get other countries to accept the return of their citizens who are dangerous criminals, in most cases our government can only detain these aliens for six months before releasing them into society," he said. Just how are you, Mr. President, going to guarantee that promise of a ban on illegal aliens? Oh..it's a government ban....that carries a lot of promise. So our laws are ineffective and insufficient? Seems to me, the laws are just fine, they just need to be enforced and stricter admendments to them. If 'dangerous criminals' come into the US, without being intially caught at the border, then we, the USA, needs to have one very tough, very nasty, prison, to dump them into. Namely, some place in the middle of no-where in the Southwest, and our Congress needs to pass a real bill that would automatically sentence these types to LIFE in this prison. If other countries do not want to accept the return of these citizens, then they pay for them. Either get tough with illegals and the Nations that do not work with 'US', or we might as well just give up and surrender our soverignty, burn the Constitution and Declaration of Independence, for without real enforcement of our laws...these documents are MEANINGLESS!!! And all the lives lost building this Nation in all the wars, are in VAIN.
"Under this bill, anyone known to have taken part in illegal gang activity can be denied admission to our country. And under the bill, we will be able to detain aliens who are dangerous criminals until another country accepts their return," he said.
However, it also grants legal status to the estimated 12-20 million illegal aliens already within the United States,
I like this line.."anyone known to have taken part in illegal gang activity can be denied admission to our country"... can be denied???!!! Which means murders, killers, drug dealers are allowed?? Trent Lott and Barbara Boxer are on with Chris Wallace.....smoke and mirrors. One thing I did notice they have done correctly...they have their coffee mugs turned outward correctly to advertise 'Fox News'. They will see the votes are there..according to Sen. Boxer. All I can see is that our Congress is way out of touch with the American People. The courage I speak of is simply, the courage to stand up and fight for what is just and right to maintain this Nation, as it was born from the blood and lives of our Fore Fathers (and Mothers).

What's Wrong with this Picture
Saturday, June 23, 2007 10:46 PM
This story passed by us a few days ago about the reported terrorist graduation in Afghanistan where the 'graduates' were going to head to Europe, Canada, and the U.S. to kill. So what's wrong with this picture?? If you watch the video, it was very elaborate and planned out, and it last a quite awhile, 65 minutes and 15 seconds by ABC News count. So what's wrong with this picture? There are many people, there are stages, tables, banners, loudspeaker systems. So what's wrong with this picture? What's wrong....is that it happened and it took ABC News to break the story. Where the FRACK was all of our vaunted intelligence services, all of our multi-billion dollar spy satellites, our Air Force, those Predator drones, etc etc etc. The sky is clear for the most part, partly cloudy eveough and a whole bunch of terrorist sitting in the wide open without a worry in the World. That's what's wrong with that picture! But you can bet...there is all kinds of NSA eve's dropping going on in your neighborhood, spy satellites watching you take out the garbage, and our politicians and news organizations telling our enemies our every military move. Don't believe a single word you hear from our Military-Industrial complex about how great our military and intelligence capibilities are, how safe our Nation and people are, or how much more tax dollars need to be directed towards them until meetings like those terrorist had, are shown with them blown to bits on our evening news. If anything, that video of those killers was the hugest insult to our Intelligence community for failing to even see it happen as to call in an airstrike. Collateral damage would have been acceptable in such a case. But now, we innocent have to wait and see if this threat does emerge as a reality.

Explaination to my dear readers
Wednesday, June 20, 2007 10:38 PM
I'm sure that your life has come to an absolute standstill not seeing any of my wit, widsom, rant, ravings, musings and plain ol' talk not being posted. Truth is dear reader, is this new job I have. It's zapped me of all my mental strength by day's end and I will not give you just half baked advice and obseravations. I"m not good as Rush, I can't tie half my brain behind my back and still function. So I am currently seeking a new source of income, because that's what a job is, a source of income for an honest, hard working, tax paying American. Few are lucky to have a passion and get paid for it. Stupid ones loose their Pro-Athlete careers and then have to find a job...whom I have no pity upon. You had it made and you blew it. A quick observation....did you notice that Israel made a military incursion into Gaza 'Wednesday' against the hostile militants? And did you notice that the Israeli's allowed some of the very ill to leave Gaza. What does this prove beyond any doubt??!! A hard established barrier works to keep out non-residents and especially...terrorist. Is anyone in the U.S. Government paying attention!!! I have to get going dear reader, put in for a few more jobs before I fall asleep at this PC of mine. I have a movie for you to watch...Letters from Iwo Jima. Watch the second disc with the added features too.

Politicians fail our Military again
Thursday, June 14, 2007 11:12 PM

I told you some while back in a posting that the Democrat(ic)s/Socialist Party is an enemy of the United States Military. They are two faced, back stabbing traitors to the legacy of the American Revolution and all who have perished in it’s name.
Anyone with sense has, anyone with eyes, can see the hypocrisy of the DNC when it comes to this Nation’s military. There are many DNC politicians who ‘served’ in the U.S. Military, but that service was often if not always, just a short tour and not a career. So their honor towards the military is purely political.

Out of Iraq Now - Defeat Pro War Representatives Sign our petition to Congress!
democrats.com
** Notice dear reader, this statement above, that came attached to the cut n’ paste I used with this story. Need I say more…..!!!!!
WASHINGTON (AP) - A Democratic challenge to Gen. Peter Pace indicates that uniformed officers no longer are exempt from the partisan fire on Capitol Hill once reserved for civilian policymakers.
On Friday, Defense Secretary Robert Gates made the stunning announcement that he would not recommend Pace to serve a second two-year term as the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. The Marine Corps four-star general had not been a target previously of Democrats' ire on the war, but Gates said lawmakers made it clear the confirmation process would be ugly.
We read below even more about the two faceness of the DNC politicians and how quickly they turn upon the military.
The announcement was a surprise, particularly because the Senate in recent months confirmed other military officers with close ties to the Iraq war with little fuss.
In January, Senate Democrats helped confirm Gen. David Petraeus to take over the Iraq war despite their opposition to Petraeus' recommendation that the U.S. send thousands more combat troops into Iraq. The following month, Democrats endorsed Gen. George Casey as Army chief of staff after he led the Iraq war for 2 1/2 years.
Their approval kept with a long-held tradition on Capitol Hill that lawmakers level any stinging critiques at civilians and praise uniformed officers for their service to the nation.
"General Casey knows Iraq and the challenges the Army faces there," Sen. Carl Levin, D-Mich., chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee, said in February. "The principal failures that led to the chaos in Iraq were due to the civilian leaders."
But when it came to Pace, Levin signaled a new era in which uniformed officers close to the president would be held accountable.
In an interview with reporters this week, Levin said Pace's nomination would have been more contentious than other uniformed officers because he was the closest military adviser to the president on a failing war.
http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0607/4490.html
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid called Marine Gen. Peter Pace, the outgoing chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, "incompetent" during an interview Tuesday with a group of liberal bloggers, a comment that was never reported.
Reid made similar disparaging remarks about Army Gen. David Petraeus, the top U.S. commander in Iraq, said several sources familiar with the interview
Also, one should notice the Bush Derangement Syndrome that often accompanies most decisions by DNC politicians by attacking Military Officers that were only serving their country and just happen to be in the service at this time in history under this President has been elected to office.
Pace's demise comes amid increasing frustration by Democrats on their ability to force Bush's hand on the Iraq war. Following a meeting with the president and his top advisers on Wednesday, Sen. Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., called the presence of U.S. troops in Iraq "the great divide in the room."
"We all want stability in the Middle East, we all want peace, we all want a place that people can prosper," Schumer said. "But it is our view it really can't happen unless the policy in Iraq changes. It's their view that the policy in Iraq furthers stability in the Middle East, and it's hard to see that happening as things continue to decline, whether it's in Iran, in Syria, in the Israel-Palestinian conflict."
The only way ‘policy’ in Iraq or any conflict the United States is involved in, is for the politicians to unchain the military and stand way back until the Generals and Admirals tell ‘you’ it’s clear to go in now. Until that happens, the United States Military will continue to suffer Desert One, Black Hawk Down, Fallujah tragedies, Vietnam and Iraq quagmires.

Rush to Judgment Against Haditha Marines
The press is already salivating over the prospect of the next Abu Ghraib-like public relations disaster for the U.S. in the war on terror - ballyhooing as yet unproven allegations that a group of U.S. Marines launched an "unprovoked" attack that killed 24 Iraqi civilians in the town of Haditha on November 19, 2005.
But was the Marine response really "unprovoked" - as at least 40 press reports have claimed in recent days?
The Boston Globe reports that the confrontation was touched off when a roadside bomb struck a supply convoy of Kilo Company, Third Battalion, First Marine Regiment. The explosion killed Lance Corporal Miguel Terrazas, 20, of El Paso, who was on his second tour in Iraq.
"Everybody agrees that this was the triggering event," Paul Hackett, an attorney for a Marine officer with a slight connection to the case, told the paper.
If the roadside bomb was the "triggering event" for the developments that followed, however, then how can it be said that there was "no provocation"?
And while that provocation may not have been enough to justify the wanton murder of innocent Iraqis, it's far from clear at this point that all of those killed were indeed innocent. Or that any innocents who did die were killed in cold blood.
In an April report that pre-dates the uproar over the Haditha allegations, a Marine press release describes the Iraqi town as "a hotbed of insurgent activity less than a year ago." That would be about the time of the so-called Marine massacre.
Plainly, not all the residents of this terrorist hotbed were as innocent as Marine media critics are now claiming.
The Los Angeles Times reports that after smoke from IED cleared, the Marines quickly determined that it was "a type that would have required someone to detonate it."
Following standard procedure, the troops searched nearby houses, the closest of which was 50 yards away.
That's close enough for its occupants to have tracked the Marine convoy and timed the explosion.
It's also worth remembering that the press has so far reported only one side of the story.
All the witness accounts seem to come from residents of Haditha [that hotbed of insurgent activity] - who paint the Marines as modern day incarnations of Nazi storm troopers.
In the same breath, our current Administration is not doing anything to help our military in their fight against the Islamo-fascist militias. See above note and the continued persecution of our military personnel that are soley reacting to the horror’s of war. If these persecutions persist, then our Government MUST persecute any surviving World War Two veteran for war crimes as well. Remember the opening of Saving Private Ryan when the American Army went ashore and shot German soldiers that were surrendering? That scene did not just come from Speilberg’s mind, it came from research of facts. Letters from Iwo Jima when the Marines shot the two Japanese soldiers….same thing. If our Government is bent upon being so self righteous, then the U.S. Government must immediately arrest any U.S. WW2 Veteran and charge them with war crimes.
The problem with war always comes from Politicians. Firstly, it comes from the fault of politicians to be diplomats and defuse any possible confrontation. Secondly, it comes from politicians meddling in military affairs by putting insane restrictions and rules of engagement, not ensuring the military has been properly trained, supplied, and equipped to meet the challenges of ‘the next war’. Thirdly, it comes from politicians doing exactly what they did that past week….back stabling the military officers and enlisted by words and deeds.
Wars always start with the failings or greed of politicians, but end with soldiers lives.

Three stories about the U.S. Military: Admiral: Bureaucracy hampers terror war By RICHARD LARDNER and ANNE FLAHERTY, Associated Press Writers 1 hour, 17 minutes ago Two years after the nation's commando forces were given broad authority to attack terrorist networks, the elite units remain hampered by uncertainty over coordination, says the admiral chosen to head the U.S. Special Operations Command. Navy Vice Adm. Eric Olson said that while the command has the lead for "synchronizing" the Bush administration's global war on terror, enforcement of that expanded jurisdiction has been difficult. The command's "ability to drive behavior within (the Defense Department) is limited due to unclear definition of authorities," Olson said in a written response to a question from the Senate Armed Services Committee. Guardsmen on border accused of running smuggling ring By ALICIA A. CALDWELL The Associated Press LAREDO, Texas -- Three National Guardsmen assigned to the Texas-Mexico border were accused of running an immigrant smuggling ring after 24 immigrants were found inside a van that one of them was driving, a U.S. attorney said Monday. The three, arrested late Thursday and Friday, were arraigned Monday on a federal charge of conspiring to transport illegal immigrants. Pfc. Jose Rodrigo Torres, 26, and Sgt. Julio Cesar Pacheco, 25, both of Laredo, and Sgt. Clarence Hodge Jr., 36, of Fort Worth, were arrested near Laredo. Published - June, 12, 2007 Marines in a fight for their lives Tainted water at Camp Lejeune has affected thousands Rita Beamish Associated Press ATLANTA -- Thousands of Marines and their families went to serve their country at North Carolina's Camp Lejeune. Instead, many wound up fighting it, blaming the government for failing to protect them from an enemy that invaded their lives in a most intimate way: through the water that quenched their thirst, cooked their food and filled their bathtubs every day. The gruff ex-drill instructor is angry leukemia claimed his daughter, Janey. Parents were guilt-ridden that perhaps their own actions had ruined their daughters' health. An aging major still mourns the wife who shared his torment over their baby's fatal birth defects. A former Navy doctor's career was demolished by his rare cancer. So goes our Military, so goes our Nation. The blame and shame goes upon our Congress, both present and past, and Presidents, both present and past, for allowing all three of these situations to be happening. All have been preventable. Without a good solid Military, no nation can stand on it's own, especially the United States. Everyone in the World would love to take us down and out, kind of like seeing Paris Hilton going to jail. Same difference. Our Special Operations are touted the World's best, but political medling again, makes the best, inefficient. Our Marines and their families, both, the backbone of our Nation, are being poisioned by the very Nation they serve. Damn you. Our National Guard...our last line of defense....notice the names of the accused...mi raza es su raza....race over Country. Greed over honor. So goes our Military, so goes our Nation. Stupid is As Stupid does
Monday, June 11, 2007 10:34 PM
I couldn't believe my ears and then my eyes, Denver, Colorado actually thinks what it is planning to do will actually make a difference in the overall scheme of World events. Here's a snip-it: June 11, 2007
Denver is gearing up to fight global warming, and residents may soon be asked to make personal sacrifices to help save the planet.
The new plan is aimed at making Denver a national leader in reducing gas emissions that have been linked to global warming, giving a major push to alternative energy, stepping up recycling and changing building codes to encourage energy conservation.
But the proposal also contains some ideas that may be unpopular, such as penalizing heavy users of electricity and natural gas and basing auto insurance premiums on the number of miles traveled. Who actually has to make all of the sacrifices....you...John and Jane Doe American. The average person who grinds their way through existence to pay, overpay, taxs and insurance, and is supposed to find some medium of happiness in it all. If Denver really wants to help the enviroment, then all building of any and all housing subdivisions, outlaying strip malls and endless miles of fast food restaurants would cease immediately and Denver would build-in upon itself. Kind of like how Japan has been doing it for a thousand years now. They are too getting a little too Americanized in their outskirts building, drive from Tokyo past Haneda to Kimpo and you'll see. But elsewhere, one take a short drive and in Hollywoodish Italian-mobster lingo, bada bing bada boom, you're in the countryside. It will take some bit of genius and real engineering and architectural planning, but it could be done. New Orleans and Louisiana blew it big time with the rebuilding, they had a chance to build a modern city and keep the 'historic' part, but typical corruption in the Big Easy took all the FEMA and Fed hand out money. And the toilet bowl sits for the next big flush. It's really not hard to imagine how to build a modern new city, enviromentally and pedestrian friendly. Just need to get past the graft n' greed. For all this talk of 'going green', 'carbon credits (that's a joke), no one of significance is really doing anything, actually really sacrificing. They (Clintons, Gore, Edwards, Hollywoodistas, the rich evil Republican poltiicians....), you know, that crowd, they want YOU to give up your SUV, your Truck, your Caddie or 750iBMW, your 2500 square foot home w/pool and 35ft Bayliner and live in a box riding a 'beach cruiser' bicycle. But they, will by 'carbon offsets' to make a different....see your credit is bad, theirs is good. So you sub-human serfs....get back to the squalor mudhuts you deserve to live in while they, the elite...live in castles you can admire as you pick their trash up. I heard that Bill Clinton wants 'us', you and I, to put grass n' mud roofs on our homes to help the enviroment. Takes H20 there Bill to keep that grass green, getting in short supply of that these days, so the grass will dry up, catch fire easily and there goes the home, more air pollution and debris. Going to take extra pesticides to kill the bugs from eating the grass, more toxic pollution there Bill. Can you see that, an entire city of 50,000 with grass roofed homes and all that run off of chemicals, off the 'grass roofs, into the aquifer, everyone gets cancer within 20 years, yards die, birds and animals die en masse from drinking off the ground. Really thought that one through Bill. Global warming......it's the environment stupid. It's the Earth's natural cycle of life...period. We just happen to be living in that time. Improvise, adapt, and overcome. But don't try to get the average American to drastically alter our lives for your political expedience.

Iraq and football - an analogy to test
Friday, June 08, 2007 10:11 PM
If a coach does not take a chance on a new player, then often talent and potential goes undiscovered. What could have been a winning team and season goes down in a so-so or losing season, then a coach without a job and a team demoralized and a possible another season of defeat. What needs to happen, new players, sometimes a whole new squad needs to be allowed to play the game. Often there is the 'A' squad and 'B' squad, first/second, starters, benchwarmers. Iraq is no different. For far too long, the 'A' squad has been on the field, taking all the hits and are getting worn down. The 'A' squad naturally being the American military. The 'B' squad has had enough training and practice and scrimmage time. Now is the time to let them take the field and play. Now is the time for 'the coach' to change squads and take off the A squad and just let the B squad play. This will be the only way to honestly judge and see how they perform. At this juncture in the 'season', it can do no harm and might actually surprise everyone. While they will take their lumps, the 'B' squad will be forced to play or face utter humiluation and defeat which no team ever easily allows. Taking away the analogy. The Iraqi military and police must be allowed to go it alone without U.S./Coalition forces alongside. It is not going to be pretty, it's not going to be easy for them, but they must take the lead for themselves and we, as well as the Iraqi's themselves, need to know for sure what will happen when the 'Day Without Americans' happens. For one month, just let the Iraqi's handle everything themselves. The only thing we need to do is monitor from 'afar'. As for when, next month, next week seems fine to me. Just do it.

What Mainstream Media does not show you about Iraq

Whether you support George Bush or not, whether you support the 'Iraq War' or not. I ran across this video tonight and beware, it shows what has happened and is happening to our troops on a daily basis. But do watch this, it's not anti-war propaganda, it's truth and reality you don't get to see on the 'nightly news' or cable news. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WIw-BP4zfW4
